Leading the way at Saturday’s sale of show potential beef calves at Brecon Livestock Market was a Limousin cross steer, Prince of Thieves, from Phil and Tracey Jones and family, Erwood, Powys. Taking this one home after a lengthy bidding battle were J L Ward and Son, Torrington, Devon.
Second highest price of the day went to D H Morgan, Llanddeusant, Carmarthenshire, with the reserve heifer calf champion, Hot Shot selling for £5100 to Phil and Sharon Sellers, Lincoln, Lincolnshire. Brought out by Wendy Morgan and Caryl Howells, this one is by a Limousin out of a British Blue cross cow.
Here’s a few other shots from the day. As ever all images can be viewed and purchased by heading to the photo sales section of the site.
